Globally, European wide and nationally, we are not making decisive progress with climate protection. We consume more fossil energy today than in 2015. The earth continues to warm up, extreme weather conditions intensify. At the same time costs of the energy transition are exploding, companies are investing elsewhere, and public acceptance is declining. But we have to curb climate change. This can only be done in new ways: freedom instead of red tape , pragmatism instead of ideology, a sense of proportion instead of overzealousness, unleashing innovation instead of technical bans – and defamation-free dialogue instead of moralizing know-it-all.
